Presentation

As we commemorate a decade since the landmark 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, this seminar will explore the evolution of international climate negotiations from the Kyoto Protocol to COP21 and beyond. Drawing on his extensive diplomatic experience as a negotiator of the Paris Agreement at COP21, COP22, and COP23, Mr. Medina Aguilar will discuss the achievements and challenges of global climate cooperation, assess the implementation of the Paris Agreement, and examine the path forward for international climate action.

The session will cover key milestones in climate diplomacy, the shifting dynamics of negotiations, and the pressing questions facing the international community as we approach critical climate deadlines.
